Irbis Firewall: Your personal firewall software for Windows XP/2000

Jun 21, 2004: version 1.5 released

• The Irbis Firewall configuration wizard now detects the local network areas automatically and marks them as full-trusted areas by default. You can change these settings directly in the wizard if you do not want some areas to be full-trusted
• Totally improved alert dialog provides you with new features, such as applying firewall rules on IP-addresses by mask, showing the name of a program that displays a network activity, and more
• The lists of TCP connections and UDP sockets now display the program names listening the local ports. Note that this feature is available under Windows XP only.
• All configuration tools are available via the Configuration submenu of main menu now
• Input/output rules now can change their order in the Irbis Firewall configuration dialog
• Smart service reloading: starting from this version, the Irbis Firewall Configuration dialog reloads the firewall service only if some changes regarding to the firewall was applied
• Minor bug fixes with appying the appearance options
• Several user interface improvements and bug fixes

Mar 22, 2004: vesion 1.45 released

• Service management improvement: now it is possible to stop Irbis Firewall service or leave it running when you exit from Irbis Firewall control program. Just after you choose the Exit menu item, a dialog appears, which allows you to stop the service or not
• A lot of new appearance options were added to the Irbis Firewall Configuration dialog
• Minor bug fixes with reloading the firewall service under Windows 2000 system
